After a break in period, the Gates Carbon Drive belts can develop a squeak. This usually happens most often in dry and dusty climates like those of the Southwest. The best thing to do is clean the entire bike with a mild soap and water. Once the bike is dry, we recommend applying a thin layer of CRC heavy duty Silicone spray lubricant to the underside of the belt or the part of the belt that comes in contact with the rings and cogs.
